June 24th Writing Workshop

Voice Lessons: A Writing WorkshopSaturday, June 24, 2017

Time: 9:30 a.m. to noon followed by lunch

Where: Home of Flo Shore, author and Women’s Writing Circle member. Plymouth Meeting, PA

What propels us to write story and make meaning of our lives and all that surrounds us? The search to understand ourselves and others is at the heart of the writer’s journey. In this workshop, we explore writing with an eye toward making a difference in the world through the written word by honoring our voice and creative spirit.
The morning includes time to write, read our work aloud and discuss Mary Pipher's bestselling book, Writing To Change the World.

Participants may bring a work-in-progress. A lunch follows the workshop with opportunities for sharing and networking in this beautiful home with wooded view.

This workshop is open to all women writers and experience levels.

Led by Susan G. Weidener: A former staff writer with The Philadelphia Inquirer, Susan started the Women's Writing Circle. Susan is author of Again in a Heartbeat, a memoir of love, loss and dating again, and its sequel, Morning at Wellington Square. Her novel, A Portrait of Love and Honor, completes the trilogy inspired by and dedicated to her late husband, John M. Cavalieri, on whose memoir the novel is based. Susan earned a BA in Literature from American University and a master’s in education from the University of Pennsylvania.
